The day of the fashion show, certain designs stood out more than others. It wasn’t always the novelty of the idea that left the strongest impression. It was how the pieces were cleverly presented

In the following lines, I will present the outfits that stood out the most.

Afrostreet Kollektion By Yvonne Odhiambo

This design may reference forms we have encountered before, but it was the precision of its technical execution that truly won us over. Cascading down the model’s body like a waterfall, the piece carried an animated quality without demanding excessive movement. Its asymmetrical construction, paired with an overall sense of fluidity, revealed a deep understanding of the material along with a sophisticated approach to layering textures to build volume with intention.

Studio Lola

Men’s fashion often leans on the predictable with its rigid shapes, and safe cuts. This piece challenged that norm. It breathes and adapts to the body type, striking a rare balance between comfort and definition.

On the women’s side, the masterful use of embroidery and crochet reimagined vintage luxury through a youthful lens. Bold yet balanced, it revealed just enough skin while using voluminous crochet details to redirect attention, creating a flawless canvas that celebrates both form and craftsmanship.

Molivian

Visual impact is achieved through carefully structured patchwork, where colours are layered from vivid to muted and back again. Rather than overwhelming the eye, this harmony creates a sense of elegance. These outfits are designed to effortlessly adapt to any occasion. With the playful use of accessories, you can highlight a specific layer or colour, elevating your look with ease. Truly, it is the perfect seasonal wardrobe staple.

Wanni Fuga

There’s so much to say about these outfits. They carry that unmistakable Nigerian flair, from the headpieces to the carefully chosen accessories. But what truly stands out is the brightness of the colours. But what truly stands out is the pairing of colours. Seemingly unbalanced, they somehow come together perfectly, creating a look that’s playful, and dynamic.

Maisha By Nisria

Maisha by Nisria delivered with quiet authority, reminding us that when art and fashion converge with intention, the result is luminous. Sculptural forms lead the conversation, complemented by playful yet precise needlework, while bold contrasts prove that colour here is composed. The collection speaks in a matured design language, one that understands restraint, yet is unafraid of the explosive force of creativity

Naaniya

Naanya's collection shaped by her dual African and Western heritage, expressed through a disciplined, quietly intelligent design language. Raised in France, her work echoes the rigor of French style, often read as ease, yet constructed through precision, restraint, and exacting coordination. Natural dyes ground the collection in process and intention, deepening its muted palette. Serving as a tribute to Senegalese soldiers taken to France to fight during the World Wars, the sober tones carry historical weight, allowing memory, material, and form to exist in thoughtful dialogue.
