At AfriHue, we believe that achieving our aspirations requires diversifying our services. One of the key areas we are now fully embracing is focused coverage, a service dedicated to helping brands tell their stories in ways that truly resonate with their audiences while preserving their authentic identity.
Recently, we had the privilege of collaborating with Tafrija Accessories, a brand that shares our passion for celebrating African creativity and craftsmanship. Together, we worked to capture and communicate their story in a way that connects with both local and global audiences.
Tafrija Accessories was established in 2021, during the pandemic, with a vision to celebrate African craftsmanship and connect it to the world. The name Tafrija, meaning “celebration,” reflects their mission of honouring heritage while creating opportunities for artisans through a reliable e-commerce platform with global reach.

Their signature products include Kiondoo pieces, a traditional craft rooted in Bantu culture, particularly among the Kamba and Kikuyu communities. Handwoven from natural sisal fibers, these pieces blend authenticity with contemporary design, making them both functional and timeless.
Since their inception, Tafrija Accessories has grown into a trusted global brand, delivering to five continents with a strong record of customer satisfaction. They pride themselves on uncompromising quality, ensuring that every client receives true value for their purchase while supporting the preservation and celebration of African artistry.

The accessories, such as their jewellery, are designed to be aesthetically striking but also versatile, offering customization that allows each piece to adapt to individual style.

The fedora, for example, features intricate beadwork that creates a bold visual effect, capturing attention while giving wearers the freedom to play with colour combinations.
At Tafrija, creativity is a conversation. They encourage customers to wear their pieces, share their experiences, and suggest ways to make them even better. Founded at a time when businesses were being forced to adapt to digitalization, Tafrija rose when many others fell. If that is not proof that dreams can be built through resilience and effort, then words simply fall short.
